Wireless router help
I tried to change the wireless security settings on my router. Now I can't connect to it wirelessly. I tried to change it to WPA-PSK, and that'* when it happened. So far, I've changed the security back to WEP, turned the security off, changed the network name, made a new passkey, downloaded new firmware, and every combination of those. Nothing works. When I change the security type or turn it off, the computer sees that I need a key or tells me it'* unsecured appropriatly, but it just won't flippin connect. Any ideas?

When you change wireless settings, are you connected over a wired connection?
I can try to help, probably easiest over a remote VNC connection... let me know.

I have v4. Have you tried a hard reset? Press reset for 10 seconds, unplug, plug back in, try again?
We get tons of returns at work (Staples) on routers that just simply crap out. Not sure if it'* in the software, or the hardware, but most of them that I've hooked up out of boredom, really are just crapped out.
I've had this router for about 4 years I think. Never had a problem with it, but never assigned a key to it to living in the middle of nowhere. Haven't had any LAN parties appear on my front lawn, yet.

Glad you could save the money. And just for future reference, Staples sells them for $39.99 quite often incase that one ever craps out permanently.
