Never again!

Never again!
I say that every time I take any vehicle in for servicing because I either don't have the time or tools to do it myself.
This time is was for lack of time.
With my out of town job I have to be away from home and need the car for work.
It was getting so bad that it was dangerous at the speed I like to drive.
So I brought my 79 Pontiac Trans Am in to have the upper control arms tightened up.
The bushings and rod assemblies were purchased from the Paddock for $200 delivered via UPS. The ball joints were ordered from the auto shop for $66.
I had to go out of town today for an MRI due to my back problem caused from excessively ferrossious humping
So I pick up the Trans Am when I get back to town and am presented with a bill for $562.
5 hours of labour at $72/hr.
Of course that included a spot on alignment at $62.
It'* now tight again and worthy of its WS6 status but the total cost was just shy of $800.
It really pisses me off when I know I could have done that job for so much less.
Time IS money

72/hr wow, we charge 106.75 lol
Its a crappy feeling knowing how easy it is to do and that you can do it yourself, even worse is opening your wallet to pay them to do it.

I would have to charge $140/hr for my services if I ever moved there.
