definately not a factory option. Dealers sometimes install "packages" such as that, to make the person buying it think they're getting something extroadinarily special when they are looking at it. I've seen a "gold" edition Bonneville before too around here. It was a 2000+ white, with a "gold" colored faux convertible top. It had all gold colored emblems and pinstriping too. It looked really tacky the way it was done though. . :?

Ya, definitely not factory. I guess the dealer wanted to "pimp" the ride, maybe to sell it for more?

I've seen various vehicles done like that by local dealerships.

Not my cup-o-tea...

one thing i found funny was that this supposedly gold edition had no gold coloration other than the decals and pinstripes, the body was silver and it had chrome rims

Theres a gold edition Intrigue around here that I wish I could get my grubby paws on.

Its black with the chrome version of my rims, and the only thing gold about it is the gold pinstriping around it, which matches up pretty well.

I asked the lady who owns it what the gold edition was and she said she didnt really know, that she thought it was just the gold pinstriping and stuff.

So im also thinking its a dealer option to jack the price up.

I saw an Aurora today that said "Gold Edition" on the left side of the taillight. Didn't have the time to take a good look, though.
