Ok, i feel like i'm going insane...i have been noticing that when i stare at the computer screen usually at night, my eyes kinda go into this thing where i feel really far away but like can see really close at the same time...it is kinda hard to explain, but anyone who has had it happen should know what i am talking about...

i dunno...am i nuts?

Yeah me too.

Actually it has happened to me before, but it was when I was working on only a few hours of sleep. Sleep deprivation can do that to you.

You have an eye stigmatism. Some people develop them if you do a lot of microscope work, or look at a PC monitor day in and day out. I have them, got it from working at IBM for 6 years.

yeah, that happens to me every night whenever i'm on here past 12:00.usually i just shut my eyes And reopen about 3 - 4 seconds later

Oh really is it my astigmatism? I have had an astigmatism for many years...probably because i have been usuing computers since i was 5 and have been on them almost everyday since then...thanks for the explanation, at least i know im not nuts, even though some friends seem to think so...

I've had that happen. I figure it'* just my eyes relaxing, yet staying focused. Kinda wierd, but nothing I've ever worried about.
