When you get behind the wheel of a car you are doing so for the specific purpose of driving. Not eating and driving, not putting on make-up and driving, not reading and driving and not using your car as your own personal phone booth. You can't be very good at any one thing when you are doing multiple things at once, so do the very best at what it is that you intended to do - driving. Driving your vehicle includes doing so un-impaired and by abiding to the rules and regualtions that your state has adopted.

If you want to drive really fast...go to the track or strip. Or better yet, sign up for a sanctioned race driving class and get it out of your system.

I've seen the end results of careless/inattentive/impaired driving. It'* not pretty!

Be stupid in school...not behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Thanx for the nod from many on this. I myself am no angel, and don't want to come off as an azz. But let'* remember we try to keep the Forum light, social, and happy with an emphasis on the mechanical. Things like allowing Speed threads and Kill stories just brings on completion among the members that can escalate into leading people to do hazardous things. They also start arguments/prove it/etc. It'* one root cause that starts a mentality that brings Forums down and turns them into little visited caves with a stubborn rotten core.

Being a forensic scientist I've seen my share of unnecessary gore. This video made me get up and walk around my house. Since I've been on the forum from what I've seen and heard (which is not everything) I have seen no forum members die or serious injuries from our cars.

Please take to heart. No matter how much quarreling there is in the the car world. At the end of the day everyone is a husband/wife, brother/sister, cousin, friend, a person.

Venom said it best take to the track please. Period.

You are contradicting yourself...a safe and careful driver doesn't drive 120mph on a empty country road in the middle of the day.

If your brother was killed in a car wreck, you need to readjust your own though process on what you think is being a safe and calm driver and truly having concern for others lives. In my eyes....you are most certainly not!

This is not a thread to admit stupidity behind the wheel or to try and get others to give you or anyone else a pass for indiscretions.

Pit Bull is off the leash....Thread locked!
