Why do people have to steal?!?!
I left my car at work Saturday night because I had to borrow one of the trucks to move furniture. Now mind you, I work for a Ford dealership and the parking lots are well lit and the area is really nice. I never would have thought this would happen. Anyhow, I got into work yesterday morning parked the truck, and ran to my car only to find glass everywhere. My pasenger window was broken. When I opened the door, I saw that my fairly new Alpine CD player was GONE, the panel around the stereo was busted, and the back seat was bent to hell...my gues is the ***** tried to get into the trunk through the back seat but couldn't. Thank god my subs and amp are still there. But none the less I need new back seat. This idiot must have cut himself too because there is blood everywhere....how sick! Of course I called the cops but evedently car "vandalisms" aren't a priority because they didn't even come out to look. To top it all off, I don't have full coverage on the Bonnie so all this is coming out my own pocket. $400 stereo, $170 for the glass, $35 to re-tint it, $200 for the back seat and $40 for the applique near the window ( that black trim piece). Why do people have to be like that????

That f'ing sucks, don't it?? I've had it happen to me before as well (not to my Bonne, tho).
As a former cop, I can tell you the reason it doesn't seem like a priority to them is because the chances of them actually catching who did it are slim to none. Part of the reason is if the thieves did happen to pawn it or something, the owners never have a serial number.
And, they ususal don't pawn them. They either grab it for themselves, or give/sell it to a buddy.
Good luck with it, tho. Knowing why it works that way doesn't help you feel any better about it.....

What color is your interior? We might be able to track down another seat. I'm hoping you don't have the dark blue/green interior color though. Looks like you might.
Sorry to hear about all that. Get a Rottweiler and chain him to the car.

I CAN'T STAND A DAMN THIEF!!!! I make sure to carry full coverage on my vehicles just in case something happens. In your case all you need is comprehensive. We work hard for what we got and then some jerk comes along and takes from you. They should run dna on the blood, track down that sorry sob and chop his hands off. That would make him think twice before trying to pull some crap again and it would send a clear message to other wanna be punks if they don't leave their hands off they could lose them.

That happened to me in my '83 Bonneville. Man I was torqued. Come to find out, a so-called "friend" did it. The police did manage to recover the speakers, minus the box, and they were in bad shape when returned. The amp never did show up, until, about a year later, I saw it in my "friend'*" trunk. He said, "Oh, I didn't know, I bought it off a guy." Funny thing was, a mutual friend'* car was broken into the same night.
I feel for ya. Nothing like that sinking feeling when you approach your car and see that. You just wanna take heads...

I have had my locks pulled out, interior shreded, and my whole stereo was gone! I was sick to my stomach for days! The cops at least dusted for prints. I can't believe there was blood in your car and they at least didn't take a sample! That is bs I would write to your local paper and let the town know whats up about that! Damn Thiefs!!!!!

didn't you guys have alarms? If an alarm is blaring they are a lot less likely to spend the time to steal all of your stuff let alone trying to spend the time ripping the back seat out. What I did was I have a DEI remote start/keyless entry/ anti-theft and I got a sticker with it which i stick in the front windows which says "This vehicle protected by DEI anti-theft device."
Sorry to hear about that happening. If I ever caught somebody breaking into my car I swear I'd kill them. I hate people who are too big of losers to buy their own stuff.
