True Car Nut
The regular Grand Nationals ranged from 200 to 245 horsepower depending on the model year (1984-1987). They made anywhere from 300 to 355 lb/ft of torque, and this all came from a turbocharged 3.8 V6. The GNX (which I think stood for Grand National Experimental) was a special edition only available in the last model year, 1987. It went straight from the factory as a stock GN and was modified by McClaren to make 276hp and 360 ft/lb of torque. It was (and still is) a beast, and only 547 were produced. Very rare, and very cool. It'* a bigger deal to see a GNX than a regular GN.
