Who do you think would win, my 96 SE, or a mid 90'* Ranger with a 4.3 Vortec in it. A friend I work with thinks he can blow me a way, but I say differently. I just don't know, a truck, es. a Ranger. What do you guys think.
That'* what I'm thinking. He'* said he'* had it up to 120 plus, he could'nt tell cause he had the needle pegged. I thing he'* full of crap. He also owns a Escourt which he thinks is bad. He said I would have him in take-off but in the long run he would beat me. I'll have to race him and show him up. I mean it'* a Ranger for pete sake.
120 would be pushing it. The gearing probably wouldn't allow it. This is still a truck. The gearing from the S10 or the Ranger would probably top him out under 120. You'd beat him to 100 easily (by about a mile or 9), but your 108 top end could bite you unless he'* still factory limited. GM limited their trucks to 100. I know this from experience. If he'* running a stock OBD2 PCM with that 4.3 drivetrain, you have him there, too.
