Default I would like to apologize...(Please read)

........For my stupid behavior. I know you guys were just trying to look out for me, and my safety, and me not making wise choices, since most cars I stupidly bought needed work or needed towed home . I will admit that I was well..... kinda drunk that night I lashed out, I had 7 or 8 Schneiderweiss beers and I guess they kicked in the time I was on here. I tend to be a ditzy *** person, and stupidly ignore people, which is a part of me that I really hate. So to the people that I lashed out at, I am truly sorry, and hope you will accept my apology. I know I seriously embarassed myself and hope people on here can look at me as a different person, no I am not a drunk, we were celebrating my dad'* $500 lottery ticket he won on, so we got some beer and I had too many.

Part of my problem is that I have a drivers' test scheduled in 2 weeks, and I planned to have a car before then, since after I get my license, I am finally going to go do a hardcore job search.

After that happened, I realized that I needed to search harder for a newer car, so I bought 6 car classified magazines, 4 newspapers and scanned the web over and over and I found a '97 Chevy S10 with 145k. It has the 4.3 CSFI (not CMFI) and Auto trans for $900. All it needs is a O2 sensor, most everything else has been taken care of, and it is ready for me to drive. I am going to pick it up today. I heard that the newer 96+ 4.3 is fairly reliable and that the 4L60E lasts longer in these lighter 28-2900lb trucks instead of the heavier 3600+ lb Blazers. This was one of the 6 cars I had on a list for me to buy, and this one really stood out, as I think of myself as more of a truck guy, since I like to help people and move stuff for friends and family, and this is perfect.

In case anyone was wanting to know, the reason I don't have my license is when I was 16, I stupidly took a dare and jumped my moped (haha) off a gravel pile the same time a cop was coming around the corner, and in Ohio, moped drivers under 16 will lose all privileges to getting a license until they are 18, and I turned 18 on June 2nd of '06, and never got around to getting it until since my dad works full time, and so does all my family.

Once again, I apologize for my utterly stupid behavior, and hope I will be welcomed back to help out fellow members, and offer help for other S10/Blazer owners that would need help.

Nice choice for a truck. The 4.3L engine is a real stump puller. I have a 91 Sonoma with the 4.3L as my daily driver and like the H***out of it. Saves wear and tear on the Bonny!

Only $900 is a gift from Heaven. Even if there are other problems don't whine about them just fix up the truck, you are getting a great deal.

Man I miss my '96 S10 :( , watch that fuel pump they tend to act up around 150k or so in those 4.3s other than that as long as the trans is strong that sucker will never die seems to be a very good choice.

And I hear you on being more of a truck guy, that'* why I drive Jeeps, my Grand still gives my the passenger space of my Bonne but the "I'll run your *** over if you **** me off"feeling my trucks always did

Nice *-10 dude. It reminds me of my Isuzu Hombre (*-10 sister) I had. I miss that one!

Yeah I can't wait to get it home. I'm gonna clean it up real good, wash it, wax it and call for estimates to get the cab corner that is rusted out fixed properly. I hope it isn't gonna run rich on the way home, since the CEL is on for a bad O2. Should I just buy a O2 and install it when I get there?

Nice ride.... Keep this one for a little while and like 95SLE said "Even if there are other problems don't whine about them just fix up the truck"

Ask questions and get responses to your questions..

I think allot of the problem is that people here at BC care about each other and didn't want you to keep blowing you cash on **** cars that you would have for a week and then start crying about.. You got yourself a great deal here don't F it up.. even if it ends up costing 4 or 5 hundred bucks its still well worth it.

and if you know it needs an O2 pick one up I dont think it will hurt it driving it home tho.. even take it out and clean the old one up. If you can get it out.

Yeah, bad thing is, someone told me that it has FOUR O2 sensors?!?!!? I mean I don't mind it, if I have to, i'll replace all 4. I'll have the $$ to do it.
