So that would mean Nissan would be part of GM or vice versa....

Yup, Gm has seriously been considering merging with Renault.

The last merger Renault had, AMC went under....it was on the way anyway, but Renualt made the death quicker. Maybe this time around they will get it right....maybe.

It'* all very mysterious and reanault has some sort of dealing with GM for a long time . AND American Motors isnt totally dead. First AMC was bought out by Renault, then sold to Chysler, and today The military Humvee is a joint project of GM and what was left outside of the Renault aquisition named American General Corp. Then GM paid them to let it make the H2 free and clear of American General.

So where it all is, is very confounding to me. Has Renault made enough money in it'* Jet/Aerospace ventures to pull off such a deal or is it a thickly masked gambit to allow Chrysler-Dailmer to buy GM. GM has already sold off electronic interests, set Delphi free to go running for Chapter 11 and sold GMAC Credit and GMAC Insurance And GM owns other foreign Carmakers as well. Holden and Opel I believe are 2 of them. GM was always rumored to be **** sympathizers wanting to get in on the profit of a World War we had not gotten into. And now Chrysler is really owned by the Germans It all makes for a Grade B Hollywood movie :?

Actually Airbus was a joint French-German company started in 1971, I think.
But back then the Krauts couldnt build anything worth a darn either.

Default Holden

I thought Holden was just what they called a GM in Australia . I mean , the GTO is based on the Monaro platform and has the LS2 . It was discontinued this year , I believe. If you jump over to ls1.com.au you can probably see some pics and on the front page over to the right they have a poll about the Camaro ( one category is "what'* a Camaro?" ). Holden still makes an El Camino type chassis which the call a "Ute" and the SS Ute comes with the 6.0 LS2 . Check it out . I wish they'd offer them over here but I've never even been able to find one on Ebay except Ebay Australia . http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/...?modelid=15002
