Default Feeling Homesick at college...

Yup, I just moved in my dorm. I'm in Rochester, NY now. I'm feeling very homesick. The college itself is great but the town is kinda looking desolate and run down. that makes the experience worse. Sometime I wished I would have kept looking at colleges in my home state. I'm sure there were some good ones also. Plus I don't think I was completely prepared for this....

man it'* hard. Some people are made for college living and I know I ain't one of them

I'm not the college type either. It'll take a bit and you'll make friends and get into a routine, plus it goes fast.

Well welcome to Rochester...

You know Geoff, Rob, Tracy, and I are always around, so give us a shout out if you want to hang out sometime.

You'll do fine. Plenty of friends to be made, and plenty of BC members close by.

I never had the homesick problem. I lived at home since SU was only 10 minutes away. Saved a boatload of money, though I must admit, living at home wasn't always the greatest.

Well you're still close to home, I'm in another state and it'* a larger town but it seems so run down and desolate as I mentioned.

I'm 420 miles away from home, not a big deal but still... I'm hoping once classes starts it'll be better...
