injen or k&n
I've got an 06 Malibu 3.5 v6 and I can't seem to get any help on any of the Malibu forums... for those of you that read the thread a few days ago, I am jwakamud'* friend and I finally decided to register.
Does anybody have any experience with any of these? The Injen is supposed to be "tuned" to maximize performance, but I don't know if that really makes a difference, perhaps I will research a little more later, didn't find anything on first look. Also, if I go with the Injen does anybody think it is worth pulling off the bumper to put it behind? And does anybody know how hard it is to take off the bumper?
Here'* the links

Forget them.
No matter how well the intake design is, any of them share the same flaw as the factory setup...the long pipe that goes across the radiator. Nothing more than a heat trap in my opinion.
Wanna free up some HP? Go full 2.25" front manifold-back exhaust. Once the PCM learned that it can expell the exhaust much quicker, it picked up a few ponies.
And sounds pretty mean to boot.
