And i finally paid off i found an adress to my grandmother I went there and low and behold it was my grandmother and step grandfather...We talked for a while i explained to them why i was there they called him and we talked he was soooo shocked and i didnt know what to say neither did he..But he told me that my mom wrote him when i was about 8 telling him i was asking about him and he wrote her a letter back saying he would love contact with me but she never responded nor provided a phone number...So we decided That we are going to establish a relationship and make up as much lost time as possible..He is in arizona and is coming up in the spring and reallly wants to see me as do i but i have his number and he has mine so we can keep contact and i couldnt be happier i feel as if a void has been fiiled and i cant quit smiling nor express how happy i am..To those who helped i owe you my life you have made mine thank you all soooooooooooo much!!
i also found i have a brother and a sister one great grandma and 20 cousins LOL

Oh well for those who dont know i have never met/seen or spoken to my father untill today
I started looking for him last night with no results so i searched for my grandma and found her then she called him and i found him

way to go buddy! had about the same deal with my Dad

My 2nd wife and I divorced in '84. She took the kids (4 and 9) and left and I had no contact from any of them until in 92 she applied for Social Services in Colorado. Colorado inquired about me and the divorce settlement even though she told them she left the area without a forward address or notifying me, I received a letter from NY State where I then lived stating my License was suspended for non support. I had to come to an agreement with Colorado to restart support and $200 a month towards arrears of $21,000. Thinks thats bad? Through all this the State of Colorado told me they didn't have the right to tell me her whereabouts or phone number, even though I was given visitation rights in the divorce settlement; and that I would have to seek counsel within the State to have those rights enforced. (Not their problem, not their Dept.) I finally got back in touch with them when my daughter got my moms number in turn called me. Their Mom told them everything but the truth all those years and it'* has been an uphill battle reconnecting with them. Why is it 99% of the news/stories are Mom oriented and us guys always get the shaft.

I heard alot of BS from my mom about it my whole life and honestly i dont care im just happy i found him and we are talking...He told me he tried getting an addy for me but they wouldnt let him so he went through the same thing
