Interesting things to do with a computer when you're bored:
Make a website and host it off your ip address at home just to see if you can.
Install Linux on a thumbdrive, have it load entirely into ram and see how fast it goes.
Build a Windows XP Embedded image for your hardware
Download a virtual pc emulator and every version of windows
Build a computer thats dedicated to your tv and control it with the internet
