This site is too cool to have any nerds. We have intelligent, enthusiastic members here. And don't forget Mr. Smarty Pants too. TrueWildman you need to use some more of those big $5 college words like you were using yesterday. Whatever you said impressed the heck out of me.

Default THE LONGEST POST EVAR!!! AHAHAHA!

Okay, just to prove what a weirdo I am, here'* my list. Don't be scared if you don't recognize some of the names

-KYLE'* MOST FABULOUS AND AWESOME LIST! YEA!-
Mozart > Requiem, especially Dies Irae
Mozart > Turkish March
Mozart > 4th Symphony
Mozart > 7th Symphony
Pachelbel > Canon in D Major
Wagner > Ride of the Valkyries
Henri Mancini > Nadia'* Theme (God, I hope none of you know where that'* from...)
Henri Mancini > Pink Panther Theme (This is my cell phone ringtone )
Beethoven > 9th Symphony
Beethoven > Fur Elise
Beethoven > Moonlight Sonata
Grieg > In the Hall of the Mountain King
I have more instrumental, but it'* newer, so, per the topic, I'll spare you guys

In all honesty, this is some pretty good stuff. Some'* pretty sappy, because I'm a big panzy, but some of it is pretty rousing, I'd suggest at least a 30-second preview listen on each song Except for Requiem, it starts out kind of slow-just listen to the Dies Irae part best part in my opinion, although the whole thing is good, a great 10-minute work =) In closing, I appreciate classical music because I don't have to concentrate on what they're saying, because they aren't saying anything! Even the rousing stuff is great to unwind to after a long day of listening to people yammer on =)

Anyway, we move on!

More traditional oldies now...
Louis Armstrong > A Kiss to Build a Dream On
Ink Spots > Maybe...
-These first two I became hooked two when playing Fallout 1 & 2. They're played during the intro sequences, Maybe for the first, A Kiss for the second. Great computer games, and cheap as hell, worth a buy for sure Hell, you even get to drive a car in the second one, too!
...
Okay, okay, moving on...
Now, you'll have to excuse me if the next bunch covers about 30 years or so in music history. I have 'em all lumped together under the header old songs, and I don't want to sort
Aerosmith > Knockin' on Heaven'* Door
Allman Brothers > Ramblin' Man
Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Takin' Care of Business (did someone mention this one?)
Beatles. Of Course
Barry Sadler > Ballad of the Green Beret
Blues Brothers! Hehe I will HAVE to start a post on my favorite quotes!
Billy Joel > Piano Man
Cab Calloway > Minnie the Moocher
David Bowie > Space Oddity
Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, BBVD > King of the Road (hehe, fits, don't it? )
Deep Purple > Smoke on the Water
Don McLean > American Pie
Don McLean > Vincent (Sappy as hell, but we've been over this...)
Doors > This is the End
Elton John > Saturday Night'* Alright for Fighting
Elvis
Frank Sinatra > Fly Me to the Moon
Frank Sinatra > Love and Marriage (MOS should know this one )
Frank Sinatra > Luck be a Lady Tonight
Frank and Tony > The Best is Yet To Come
Johnny Cash > Good Ol' Boys
Commander Cody > Hot Rod Lincoln (Just substitute Bonneville in, it'* just as good :P )
The Monkees > I'm a Believer
Indiana Jones Theme Song
James Bond Theme Song
Joe Cocker > The Letter
Any of John Fogerty or CCR'* stuff. I remember listening to my dad'* old John Fogerty
CD in his old Grumman stepvan when I was a kid. Ahhh, memories
John Lee Hooker > Boom Boom Boom
Any of John William'* stuff. Especially the Star Wars stuff, like Duel of the Fates
Led Zeppelin > Rock and Roll
Led Zeppelin > Stairway to Heaven - oh yeah
Led Zeppelin > Ramble On
Los Lobos > La Bamba (And for those of us who speak Spanish, you can actually
understand what they're saying!)
Lynyrd Skynyrd > Sweet Home Alabama (Too many Ys?)
Norman Greenbaum > Spirit in the Sky
Penguins > Earth Angel
Etta James > At Last
Queen, just... Queen! Almost all of it kicks ***
Gold Earing > Radar Love (One hit wonder, I believe...)
the Stones, namely Jumpin' Jack Flash and Paint it Black
Roy Orbison > Pretty Woman
Sam Cooke > Cupid
Steve Miller Band > Keep on Rockin' Me Baby (Did someone already mention this one? I
love this one )
The Foundations > Build Me Up Buttercup
The Who and The Guess Who (Two different bands, believe it or not. At least that'*
what I have been told... )
Tom Petty > I Won't Back Down
Van Morrison > Brown Eyed Girl

I'll save you all the pain of reading my list from the folder I titled "Newer Songs", which is Kyle for 80'* music =)

I can't help but feel the admins are going to go ape on me for this post... oh well Enjoy!

KrazyKyle you have quite an eclectic taste in music. I know some of the classical stuff but not all. I like most of your choices for oldies.

Agreed. Nice classical selection. I have the 8 CD set of the Complete Chopin collection as my most prized possession of my entire classical collection.

And nice oldies selection, too.

Thanks And let'* just say I knew a friend for while who got me in to classical music. He originally told me to download Dies Irae, and I've loved it ever since He was certainly an odd individual, as he was raised by Catholic priests and could speak Latin fluently! He told me the song was basically "God is angry! God is furious! God will smite you!" Still sounds good And thanks for commenting on the selection, it took me about 30-40 minutes to write that whole thing up (nothing better to do, except sleep...), so I was hoping someone would say something about it! Eclectic, I like that word :P

Is there a way I can link music or sound files onto the forum? I know we have a video forum, but I have some great fake commercials and crap. Delta Airlines Ebonics commercial, anyone ?
