Dual exposed muffler pipes
Is it me or are more manufacurers shoving exposed dual exhaust tips on EVERYTHING. Dual pipes used to mean performance now I dont know what to think. Only reason I could possible think is for emissions reasons?

Looks mainly. My car has a double tip on one side of the exhaust, definetly looks better than the single one on the Rabbit.
A Balanced look works on a lot of cars, and it does convey a sporty nature..

Yes, we all know that lower exhaust restriction means more power.
The OEM'* are trying to squeeze every last ounze of efficiency out of their emission controlled and fuel mileage levied vehicles.
........it looks sexy and that sells also.

Yeah my 7 series has a single exhaust with 2 mufflers on one side but I know the next gen will have dual exposed tips.

It'* a design feature I look for now. Frankly, for the next car(*) I won't settle for anything but dual outs. There is beauty in symmetry.

Not saying I dont like dual pipes I just used to feel exclusive with the dual pipes on my cars but now even a freaking Kia suv has dual exposed pipes.

On my Kammback, I'll try to put split tips on her, no chrome tips, just ones that look factory, you know, pointing down at an angle. I just like that subtle performance look
