oh and if anyone knows of any labs that are in the area that need a research tech lemmie know too lol.
my plan is to follow in my dads footsteps and get a job at one of the mills on the lakeshore. a laborer gets a pension 40k a year an awesome medical plan and you can pretty much pick your shift at us steel. but lauren doesn't have it that easy. shes gotta find a lab that needs a tech lol.

well thats what im trying to establish.... i mean, we basically have from ohio to Wisconsin to Indianapolis to move to and my thought process is if one of you is paying considerably less than what i can find in a articular town than it shouldn't be unreasonable to find something similar in another area.

The closer you get to Chicago the more expensive it gets. I live in Wheeling now and got a heck of a deal on my apartment, they wanted $1200/month but I talked them down to $1000 since I found an advertisement online. It'* a two bedroom two bath that was just renovated. Water bill will never break $30, I haven't ever turned my heat on (radiant heat from the surrounding apartments keeps mine warm), and I pay for TV/Internet.
My last place was $1500 for a three bedroom town house plus garbage, water, gas, elec, TV/Internet and that was in Rolling Meadows.

Congrats on your girlfriend'* goal of getting in Pharm school. Pharm school is considered by many the second toughest school to get into, vet school is considered the toughest. I bring that up because the Pharm school at UIC is state subsidized, so there a many excellent and qualified candidates turned away. You may want to consider an alternate location/ school; than just Chicago.

I've got a tiny 1 bed/1 bath that costs me $775, but I do get free heat and hot water. Still, I'm now (technically) in the greater NYC area, so I guess it'* to be expected.

my rental house is 750 a month some utilites included and its 3 bd room 1500sq ft and if my tenats pay early i knock it to 700..But my house that i live in i paid 80k for and its on just under and acre of property 1300 sqft with a 24x40 barn.had it been mortgage m house payment alone woulda been about 6-800 per month(dont forget when you calculate your monthly payment just due to your amount down and intest rate and years of loan.make sure when budgeting you double it for ins and taxes that way your budgeting safley and not falling behind
