Getting video into my computer! (help)
I'm tired of not having the capability to make videos and put them online. I have a decent video card (Radeon 9200 256meg) but it doesn't seem to have the capability...I also don't have a good video camera. SO, what do you guys use and how much is it? I just want a cheapie video camera and a cheapie card for the computer. Can I use a PCI slot or are they all agp? I don't want to pull my video card for this, if possible. Thanks!

u could use a video capture card... http://www.microtechcomputers.com/pr...ku=VILTVC100XP
this one is $25
this allows u to use ur regular video camera to put the video on ur pc, but i would check and make sure ur video card doesnt support vivo first.
as for ur video camera... how bad is it?

Your card doesn't capture video, but a PCI tuner card will. I'd avoid USB based solutions. A PCI capture card with RCA jacks will allow you to plug it in and record it. Editing with Windows Movie Maker 2 is free, and pretty powerful.
Then you'll need a host to share it.

I didn't really think about the camera having a usb cable in which to transfer the video. I'm so used to a/v jacks I didn't even think about that. Hmm...maybe I've got some shopping to do haha.
