Thanks guys. According to the fuel gauge witch appears to be working. There isn't a lot of fuel in the tank. So when I do get around to starting it up I will disconnect the fuel line at the carb and see what gets pumped out of it if anything at all. (I plan on replacing the pump anyway).

It will be a fun project for sure.

Emptied the Bonneville'* trunk last night to get her ready for delivery. I don't think I could fit much more than a bottle of water in the Fiero'* trunk now....

tried to do front hubs on my old mans silverado this weekend and beat on it all day. ended up having to take it to a shop, never had one that stood up to the 8lber with a acetylene torch. it is a 2wd and has all metal back and is rust welded to the spindle.

not saying she won't approve she already knows about phase 1 of the project, it'* the rest she don't know yet but I'm feeling kinda nostalgic at the present time too

Wow, that must be one corroded assembly. What tool does a shop have that is going to beat the torch?

i just have a hvac torch, only makes thick steel kinda red if you hold it there a while. they have oxy-acetylene that can cut through metal if they wanted. picked it up yesterday kinda made me feel bad took him 3 hours.
