i diagnosed 2 cars after work. first was a 2002 jeep cherokee. he said no light no light! plugged in my scanner and there were 13, count em. 13! codes. one being MIL light malfunction. friggin dodges.

second car was a buick rendezvous with a 3.4. they complained it would only run about 10 seconds and it sounded bad. failed to mention they drove it 35 miles with the low oil pressure message on the DIC. it had oil, but it had a bad oil pump. on top of that, the egr valve was pooched. they spun a few bearings on it. ran a compression test, 3 of the 6 cyls would not even register pressure on my gauge at all. if that wasnt bad enough, you can hear the rod slapping the cylinder. either that, or the rod just blew off the crank and it was hitting the crank. i dont know, but what i do know is it isnt worth figuring out!

told them they need a new engine, which i cannot do considering i dont have a lift to raise the body off of the subframe.

changed my rear struts, traction bars and tie rod ends. all of the above fought me.

one strut the bolts broke. the other, the stupid *** metal clips designed to be nuts broke. couldnt get a pair of vice grips on them, nor a grinder. so i had to grind off the bolt heads and use a center punch and a hammer. tie rod ends, the 8mm heads rounded off, even a pipe wrench slipped. had to cut off the rubber and cut the damn things off, then used a ball pin hammer to knock them down.

i hate replacing 15 year old parts.

Was in a shopping parking lot with the PA today. Going slowly in between cars, I came to a open area then some kid pushed a shopping cart without holding on to it..while I was going slow, but still the cart handle hit the passenger side mirror leaving a nice big red mark on the backside of mirror paint.
Mom was not happy, and I told her not to worry about, I thought little Johnny was going to really get it the way she was acting. SO I took out the polish while she was there, to stop the kid from her punishment.
The Meguires #2 polish & after a few attempts, got the red mark out easily.
Just like new now!
I have to say the paint job on the PA is real good quality, no paint chip either.

at least she cared. one of the first scratches in my only new car was a kid who pushed a cart from a few lanes over and hit me in the door, the mom stuffed the kid in the car and took off
