I figured out some wiring problems with my transmission in my truck. Changed the programing on the transmission too.
I tried starting my truck for the first time in 3 1/2 years and got nothing. Starter wire was loose, so I tighten it up. I got one click and loss power. I figured it'* the power cable going to the starter shorted out. Took the cable off and taped it off since that cable melted on the exhaust years ago.
I got the truck running and it was screeching (not good IMO). Sounded like power steering pump or the belts. It needed some power steering fluid. I started up again and the truck backfires every couple seconds. Downside, I didn't get to break in the cam. I'm hoping is ok still.
Also ran my Bonneville for awhile and still need to try and bleed the air out of the fuel lines.

I've wanted one of these for such a long time. I really think it helps to complete the car. I also through in a set of HID bulbs I had for the reverse lights.
Before:

Old and new:
Decided I'd clean up the metal behind the bar and put some wax on:

After with the new bulbs installed:

i saw one just like it today, it was all dirty though :/
got an estimate on fixing my door (for those who dont know i bought it broken, looks like wind caught it and bent the hinges) anyway its going to cost a maximum of $922.54 if insurance accepts the claim i will only have to pay 100 and no truck for 3 days.

I rarely come across these cars. Most of the time its in the Junkyard. Occasionally I will see one a local cruise or car show and it'* generally well kept.
I saw one on the road last year and it was beat. Poor car.

no you cant replace the hinges.. and most of the price is in paint 250$ per panel so they are removing the dent repainting the door and fender fixing the rattle adjusting the hinges.. etc.. its being written up by my insurance right now im just waiting for the check now.. all i have to pay is 100 and even then it wont necessarily be 922 so some of that insurance money might cover my deductible.
