Oh man what a bummer Sarah! That sucks!
Today was a very hectic day at work for me, I'll leave it at that! Went for a nice drive after work though and that made me feel much better, always does the trick for me.

At work today I tore a transmission out of a 2008 Buick Enclave for the famous 3/5/R wave plate breaking. Ordered parts, then did a couple optimum safety'* and an 02 sensor. Fairly easy day.
Tomorrow I'm taking my truck on a 2 hour road trip down to Cornwall, ON for a wedding reception. (right across the border from Massena, NY)

The Silverado has changed a lot in a few days...
Thursday night, I finished ripping out the 10 year old ancient satellite radio system which was screwing up all my GPS units and causing a lot of RF (what a hack job that mess was...) all except for the old antenna, which I'd have to eventually take the 3rd brake light out to get the wires out. The new SiriusXM setup works perfectly, and takes up 2000% less space.
Finished installing my 2 Meter rig and 5/8 wave whip antenna. Works awesome so far.
Took the Silverado into the shop and dropped it off Friday for some major overhauling.
Finally got the ok this morning that she'* ready to go. Shop owner is a family friend, and took it out himself, says I'm gonna be really happy with it.
Since work is sending me out for a 2 week stint on the road all over the northeast, I decided better now than later to do some needed work.
4 new BFG All Terrains in 33", all new shocks, new pads and rotors all around, and did a mild 2" lift for the front tires to clear.
I'm gonna get it home, do an oil/filter change, and hopefully call it good. Bought some spare parts to have on hand on the road (belts, repair kits, spare fuses, oil, coolant, etc). Should be a fun 2 weeks. I'll be anywhere from Just north of NYC, all the way up through Lake George, into Vermont and New Hampshire. By the time I get home, the truck should see about 1500 miles (conservatively..)

today, i finished getting the engine and trans back together, now to hook everything back up. On a side note, on the 3.8, my fuel line connection on the engine, near the firewall, leaks. any way to replace the seal?

The seals inside the quick disconnect lines? Yes, you can replace them. It usually takes some good finessing with a piece of stiff wire or a scribe.
