Looked happily at my coolant res which is still sitting nicely at the full line, as it should be.

I didn't do anything today, but I did get a driver side mirror (got the car with a bad one, and then broke it more while clumsily removing snow a couple weeks ago) from a junkyard courtesy of car-parts.com and some car wash liquid concentrate. I've got classes and its gonna be pretty cold/snowing for the week, so I'll work on that stuff on Thursday, when I'm off and the high will be 42. I'll take pics if the mirror makes me feel any better

Finished my exhaust on my driver side of my truck. First time in almost 3 years since it had a exhaust system on it.

Also got the rest of the diesel fuel out of my tank on my Bonneville. Now, I looked inside of the tank and it looks kind of rusty inside and some on the outside of it. I'm wondering if I should buy a new tank for the car or not.

The weekend was heck for me and the LeSabre.
Saturday, we got 5"+ of lake effect, and 40mph winds gusting to over 60 at times. Driving into work was a combination of whiteouts, drifts over the bumper, and avoiding tree limbs and garbage in the road. It was insane. I drove in, and was following a Colorado in 4x4 and I was doing 100% better than this dude was. He was all over the road. Then we picked up a Silverado in between, and this dude is in 4wd and having issues too. Of course, I just have measly one wheel peel and crappy all seasons, but what I lack in tires, I make up for in skill and the car makes up in traction control and the FE5 suspension just kept the car planted, or at least manageable when things got blown around. Going home was even worse, since going in at noon had daylight on my side. I drive a ton of hills, but also quite a lot of open stretches of fields. And man, some of those drifts were nuts. I just kept my foot in it and hoped I made it out the other side. Going in this morning was only slightly better, still dark, but no wind. No one plowed overnight, so I was still going through the same junk I drove home in last night.
I actually had 4x4s getting out of my way and pulling over to let me lead them through the drifts. How insane is that? Guys in Explorers and Durangos waving me past them, then following MY tracks...lol.
When I got out of work today, I had so much snow packed up in the car, it took me 20 minutes with the long handle ice scraper to clear everything out. All 4 tires were packed in the fenders by snow and crud, the grille had snow packed in it, I had gunk stuck to the sill plates on either side almost touching the ground. It had snow packed in everywhere. Poor thing. The 2 shots were taken about 11 hours after I got there, so a lot had come off, but you can tell that the crud was well packed in there. It took a long time to free the tires up before I could go home.
Now we're supposed to get another 4-7" by morning. And I work in the morning. Yee haw. More white crap.
And people at work are amazed at how I can manage to get there without 4wd or even snow tires, living where I do, and as far away as I am. Driving to work is one big controlled drift at this point.

i saw on "musclecar" where they put this sealer in the tank instead of buying a new one, you might have to research its compatibility with diesel but it would be better than buying a whole new tank.
