Ripped It All Apart
I just realized how bad the assembly process is. I ripped out my back seat and two rear interior trim panels to remove the headliner so I could replace my sunroof motor and a pair of speakers. Seems logical to me...

Well, I sure hope I found the problem with the truck. It would seem when I put in the new fuel tank last year I may have missed one small detail. Can you see it?

Yep, looks like the retaining ring has a tab in the way. I can't get the plug all the way down. I bent it over and can now push the plug down a bit further. But the clip is broken. When I touched it the plug came right off. That would explain the very intermittent stalling. At first it happened so fast, I'm talking a fraction of a second, that it seemed to be ignition. But it started to get worse in the past few days. Enough that I was able to actually hear what was going on. And react to it. Once I flipped the tank switch I knew. Oh well, guess I have a all new ignition system.
