you might as well start giving people a ticket for driving a car that is capable of going 120mph....it doesnt mean that they are going to go 120 but why buy the car if they are not going to use it to its full capabilities...so lets just assume that they are going to drive fast and give them a ticket......same goes for a tv in the steering wheel.....unless your caught speeding you cannot get a ticket.....unless your caught watching tv you should not get a ticket.....

Twister97,,,please do not think that i am trying to argue with you or come off strong i just feel that alot of laws that have been created are here just to help the government make more money and are not here just for the safety of the people....

I respect everyone'* opinions and thoughts about the above arguements. My liberal bias is always questioning authority and government. However, I think that there are some things we have to just accept and deal with. The law is the law, and that is that. We may not agree with it, but we have to follow it.

if we sat back and just followed every law than a race of people would still be without rights.....women would still not be aloud to vote.......blah blah blah... :P ...but to be serious that would be unfair to assume my reasoning for having the tv...and the assumption is where is see the problem not in the ticket.....but your probably right..i have no choice but to deal with it but its fun talking about it.....plus i was bored!!

My thing is, stuff like that is for show. Having a tv in the dash, headrest, ceiling, etc. But if you decide to have it playing while your going down the street, your just asking for the police to pull you over for the ones that do it. I admit that I had a tv in my car, but when I had it on, I wasn't driving. Main thing is tha dont play it. People will spend money on what they want but if you abuse the purpose, you will pay the price.

Everyone has good points.. so I decided to join the crowd and put mine in also

Its a good point that you shouldn't be given a ticket till you're caught.. so on that basis.. that would be like saying.. "Well I"m not going to wear my seatbelt till I get into or will be gettin into an accident. I can put cool bling bling strobes, plasma light just to PIMP the bland pillar of the ride off". There is certain laws that we don't like, but must abide with or face the consequences ( speed limit is one ). I"m sure there'* been times we all have some really good show we wanted to watch and know we can't make it home on time.. ooh wait.. I have a tv on my wheel.. I can watch it while I"m going to ----- insert destination... the temptation is there too much.. ( like anything else.. you cant' tell me if someone says take this Ferrari, or lamborgini out for a spin that you're not goin to go WOT and speed.. the temptation is there ).

This is removal of a safety feature.. not the same as throwing in a radio with flip up screen.. or having a bling bling shifter **** or spinners.. those in most sense will not affect the safety of the occupants in the car

Both Airbags and seat belt constute as safety equipment.. there sole purpose is to save lives and reduce injuries in case of accidents.

ok also monitors can also show radio stations tuned into, navigational systems, back up cameras and things like that, so if they did have monitors they are not always used for playing movies and most video players if installed by a company will make it so you have to put it in park to view. Laws are kinda odd because you can buy cars without airbags which would be the equivelent as having an airbag taken out but yah laws dont always make sense.

thats very true you can use a monitor for all that good stuff.. but to actually put it on the steering wheel by removing the airbag doesn't make sense.. I doubt I can back into the parkin space with the screen upside and sideways when I turn the wheel.. having a screen on the center console area for GPS backup cameras and such would make better sense since the screen don't move and I think glancing sideways to look on the screen is easier then lookin down onto the steering wheel... and I'm sure there will be people who disable the park features.. I have already seen a lady watchin tv while driving in a honday.. I know cause I was I followed her for a bit and can see the tv.. and when we stopped and I was turning.. saw she was watching "friends"

IMO it'* the fact that they removed the airbag thats the issue.
