Um, so, yeah.....last Friday was payday. I get paid weekly.
Today is, uhhh, Tuesday, and still no paycheck. :?
Awesome huh?
I love my job, I love my boss, but I kinda need $$$.
It'* not is fault, he is behind on everything.
We just have a bunch of clients who don't pay their bills to us.
I mean, if no one pays my boss, how is he supposed ot pay me?
He is starting teaching part-time on Jan 2, so there will be some stable income, and we have close to $10,000 still dues form Social Security appeals we won, but who knows when that will come?
We are also owed close to $15,000 from various clients, but there is only so much you cna do to make them pay.
I think we are gong to sue the one guy, he'* a real a$$.
(And you don't hear me speak that way about people very often)
So, anyways, I just had to vent.
I print out the bank reports for my boss'* different accounts each day, and there wasn't enough in any of them to cover my pay.

That sucks. Bit I've also been there. Well, I haven't but my fiance has. His boss used to go 3 weeks before he'd give my fiance his check. And then it wouldn't even be the full check. It'* hard as hell to pay your bills when your not getting paid.

Yup, getting kinda worried about bills.
We are actually all caught up and debt free.
I really don't want to get behind, especially this time of year.

Yup, I am sure that is probably illegal, but I don't want to go that route.
My boss is great.
I am on salary, and only work 30-35 hours average, and only WORK like 20 0r so of those hours.
He buys lunch as often as he can, sometimes three times a week.
I cna take time off when ever I need to, and he even gives me free paid days off sometimes when we are slow.
I love this job, just hate the whole no pay thing.

ask him about getting automatic deposit. that'* how I roll. 8am Friday morning my money is always in there.

I used to get that, til he ran into this problem a few months back.
One Friday morning, Marcia said I better check our bank on line to make sure it was in there.
No pay. Of course, we had checks out, they bounced.
My boss ended covering that, but it took a few weeks to get back on track.
Well, the payroll place ended up not taking him anymore cause his account was going negative each week.
So, now, he just pays me my net pay each week.
Honestly, I am not even sure if he pays my taxes.
He better be, because I only get my net, not my gross.
I am sure the IRS will be looking into that pretty soon.

auto deposit will do very little good when the accounts he has do not have the money to cover the payment.

sounds like you have no job security. maybe start looking for a more reliable job?

Unfortunately, I think Andrew is correct. I like my boss too, but if I ever have an issue with getting a paycheck because he doesn't have the money, I'm going to be getting a new job. I personally can't afford for him to not pay me.

Especially as a buisness owner he should either obtain a loan to make sure his expenses are covered until his payments come in , or he should have kept a small ammount for situations like this to cover the basic buisness needs.

Part of doing buisness is having the funds available to run the buisness. There is always going to be someone that owes you. You can never count on what someone owes you.
