is this something that has to be dealt with through the same dealer? I've never had the pleasure of owning a new enough vehicle to know this but i would try another GM dealer. maybe find someone who gives a damn about trying to have repeat customers.

Thats the thing....I DID go to someone else. Since one dealer noted in the computer system that they would not warranty the rims, any other dealer will just turn me away.
I might very well call corporate if i cannot polish the faded areas out and raise some kane, and I will flat out state that their lack of customer satisfaction is a big factor in why GMs can't hold their resale value...esp. the Malibu.

Just tell them that you currently Own 3 GM'*, and have had a couple of others in the past... If this simple issue can't be resolved Then for the reason of Lack of Customer service you will not buy another Gm product.. But in a really nice way
