Default Well....It'* time to take a break. *Rant*

Well, I finally blew a head gasket today (me not the car haha). Here'* the story, I am 19 and live with my dad and grandma (she'* disabled so she moved in with us). Now to the story. June 6th, my sisters get out of school, and decide they are gonna stay over here the WHOLE summer. Well at first "Hmm, it shouldn't be TOO bad" But I was wrong. Over the past 2 months, they have driven me completely NUTS. IE; using my computer without my permission, playing IN MY BONNE without my permission, they eat my food that I buy, they come in my room when I am outside or at a friends house and COMPLETELY wreck it.

Mind ya, they are 9, and 15, so they are a handful. My 15 year old sister is ADDICTED to the computer, even worse than I am. I will even lock my computer and wake up to find her on it at 3am, somehow she managed to get past it and wouldn't tell me. THEN my little 8 year old sister is a total pest. She thinks she has total control of my life and my room/computer. I will come in my room to find ALL of my computer stuff, etc dumped ALL OVER. It has really gotten to me since June. Well today came the day. I was on my computer here typing up a resume and here comes my sister (15) in here, didn't even knock on my door. "Billy, I want on the computer, and I want on NOW".

I patiently told her "No". Well then she had the nerve to call ME a computer addict! well I blew off and told her off. Needless to say, my dad and grandma agrees with me, as my sisters have drove them nuts also. I am SO glad that school starts this wednesday and they have to go home. So I end with this, now that this happened, I promised myself to stay away from the computer more. For those that don't know, I am generally on here from 9am to around 11pm, with a few one hour breaks inbetween. Reasoning is I have been busily job searching for almost 2 years with no luck, no one wants to hire me, and to top it off my Bonne is in the driveway just sitting from the bad SC, all of this plus our basement flooding has piled up and made me VERY stressed out, so I blew off today.

So I leave you with this, I am only gonna be on the PC maybe 3-4 hours a day now, as I promised myself to find a job harder, and get this SC shipped to Boosty so he can rebuild it for me. Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get it out. Now I leave to go take one of my nerve pills, I found the bottle as I lost it 2 months ago (go figure).

-William

My .02 cents... While I understand your frustration for looking for a job. It would be better if you went out looking for a job by hitting the pavement rather then searching on the WEB. Searching the web is a nice idea but I have seen that it doesn't work often. It would be better if you went into the location and asked for a appliction as they see you and can see that you are putting in a effort to finding work. Plus you never know when they might be in a tight spot and you come walking in. Good luck on the job hunt

As for your other frustration thats family and you can't avoid , Believe me I know worst sisters than yours. But they will be gone soon so life will return to normal.

Wow. I feel for you. I have an 8 year old daughter and I could never imagine her acting like that.
I can't imagine how she'll be when she is 15 though.
I am pretty much on all day too, that'* why I got the router and cable from my friends here on the club, so I can be on more at home and not have to share with the wife.
But, yeah, you'll probably have better luck getting a job out on the streets.

Door lock for teh win. If that doesn't work, physically pull the power cord from the wall and take it with you, or take the keyboard with you, or remove cables randomly.

The web is great for searching for potential jobs, bust the best way is to use what you find there and hit the pavement. No one wants to hire someone they cant see. Just get out there and talk to people, build some rapport. Even something as simple as going to the same gas station over and over again and talking to the people there, particularly the management, can turn into a job. Ive been working at a gas station for almost 3 years while trying to get through college and ive seen a lot of people kum and go(pun intended), but a lot of them have been regular customers that we ended up hiring simply because we knew them better than a total stranger.

Networking, thats where its at, not computers either, im talking about getting to know people. Even tonight I had a higher up in an advertising agency seriously telling me that I should come work for him when I get my degree. My relationship to the guy? He comes in and buys scratchers tickets from us.

If you would be willing to trade spots within life situations with me I would be more than willing to trade spots. Although with my problems many would contemplate driving off a cliff. Literaly.

No matter how bad things get they can always get worse, and no matter how bad you think you have it there are other that have it 10 times X worse than you can even imagine it so chin up!
Either way I would not wish my problems on my worse enemy.
