Because of a PM I got from Willwren last night i had to say this


I know that I will get banned for this but if it is because I am speaking my mind, so be it....never have I said anything about the color of whats going on in the south. I mentioned one artist spoke his mind. You all got everything I said twisted. What came out of my mouth was that it took long for them to help. It wasnt just New Orleans alone. It was 3 states. You all are stuck on New Orleans because of what the media show and it was more than just that one city that was hit. You are the main one bringing up the percentages on what race stay where. I didnt. Thats not my style. I was just upset on the long wait for relief. In ALL AREAS OF THE SOUTH. SOme of those places werent flooded and I am pissed off so that you all locked my thread and how dare you come at me with saying never bring the racial crap in the club again and try to make me feel small by saying understand, Like I am a little kid. Dont do that! I will leave. You dont have to ban me. I see that I post what somone had said out his own mouth but then you wanted to use that agaist me.

Steve, I locked your post, and it had nothing to do with what you said or anything like that. I just felt that the tone of the thread was starting to get nasty. As of late we have been hearing such negative things come out of the south, and I think it is time that we moved on. I don't know what Bill said to you in your PM, but I am sure he was just trying to calm the situation down.

You do not have to leave, you are a wonderful member of the club, and we would hate to see you leave.

What is happening down those southern states is not new. It'* been going on for many decades.
They have come a long way from how it was when I was younger. They would shoot and kill Blacks for fun back then....and it was legal.
Maybe a crisis like what is happening now will help improve the racist attitude not inflame it.

Steve, I know you feel that you're being singled out but that really is not the case. Like Pmom said your post wasn't locked by what you said but because there was a good chance that people would get worked up and start arguing over it. What is happening really is unfortunate but there are similar threads on another forum I frequent and this same discussion has lead to personally bashing and name calling. It got to the point that some members left. I'd hate to see the same thing happen on this club, too. It'd just be best to let this discussion die down. There'* nothing we can do about it, from here, so why get people worked up over it when it can be avoided. That'* my take on it anyways..

there was no need to start a racial thread first off. and secondly, everyone knows that political threads usually go to heII pretty quick so why try to start drama?

You know that a thread being locked is the same as saying "don't go there", so why do we all just nod in agreement to our fearless leaders and MOVE ON!!!!

I'm really having a lot of problems with the way this whole Katrina aftermath is playing out, your President is (or was) not taking the disaster seriously enough, response was slow, warnings were not heeded.

New Orleans was in essense a disaster waiting to happen, the fact that is has happened simply emphasizes the lack of preparation on the part of City planners, the miliatary and the people itself.

As for the looting, nothing you can do about that, I have serious problems with it...serious serious problems with it. Poverty and disasters don't mix well, fuel it with easy access to firearms makes a situation ever more a problem

God damn firearms, I really really wish you people with stop with the darn guns, oh and that plasma TV you stole....what house do you plan on plugging it into?

But my personal views aside, lets focus on this site and what kinda conduct is allowed.

A certain level of opinion is more then welcome, however, recently its gone to far, threads like this just cause attention to ones self, which is generally not needed here. Steve, you made your claim, stated the opinion its water under the bridge
