Yeah its an aluminum block/head V6. Its still running the factory pistons and 10.5:1 compression But the VQ'* don't seem to have a problem so far with engine knock. HIH from that site puts down 460-ish fwhp with a turbo also and runs 12.5@119mph on street tires. His engine seems to be handling it fine. For more boost, all they would need to do is purchase a jdm VQ30DET(turbo version of that engine) off of ebay and swap internals.


The "stock" 350z was in quotes to emphasize that it was indeed stock. Most people are quick to pull the B.*. flag when someone says they are capable high 13 second cars stock, especially from the guys who own 300ZX TT'* since that is their territory.

Do you know anyone out there in Souix Falls who has a 1997-newer Prelude? My sister is seeing a guy named Todd and he has a light blue (tinted windows and a hood bra) 1997 Prelude he is detuning (he'* 28 and claims his racing days are over -I kinda believe him since he'* an RN and works in the ER of hospital out there in Souix Falls).
He'* looking to get rid of his coil-overs (brand new -can't remember brand -he wrote it down for me two weeks ago and I misplaced the note) and custom SS tuned exhaust (he said it was custom made and tuned in Japan for Preludes). He'* not looking to get much, he just wants to get rid of them since he went back to stock.

Wait a minute, this car is 460 WHEEL HORSEPOWER and it is only pulling off 12.5'*???? I don't care if that is only on street tires, that car would have to be really heavy to be going that slow with that much power. I'm not calling BS or anything, just that there is something wrong if it is putting out 460 wheel horsepower and only pulling off 12.5'*, unless the person just isn't even trying to launch the car. As a comparison, Zooomers GTP that has run a best of 11.08 only puts out 410 wheel horsepower.

Traps are a better indicator of HP, in this case, he traps at about 119mph. What does Zooomers trap at? ET'* are more effected by launching techniques. I believe HIH at best could only get 2.4 0-60times because his beater M+* tires couldn't grip worth anything. Turbo Maxima'* for some reason don't seem to pull as fast ET'* as */C ones even though they make more peakpower and trap slightly higher. Go figure...I have the video of him running those times *edit* Actually in reviewing the video again, he ran 12.7@119mph, not 12.5@119mph, PM me and I can email it to you if you want to view.

I don't know any of them personally but Todd could try www.siouxfallsracing.com and post a F/* add for them. Most of the racers, illegal or what nots, usually view those forums. Otherwise, he could try the Excessive Autoports shop on 10th street and sell them to Joey.
