Top gear

no the BBC one is still going strong. We in America are just getting on the bandwagon, Australia and Russia already have their Top Gear incarnations.
DVR'd the US premiere last night, haven't watched it yet. Gotta admit was skeptical but after seeing a few previews I'm looking forward to it. I still don't think anything will top the humor of the UK version and I plan on continuing to follow it.
A car show the History channel makes sense to me. After all, the automobile has been a major part of "recent" history. The UK version has often presented looks into the history and legacy of different manufactures and models, so to me, yeah I think History channel is as good a home for the US version as any. Plus it'* on after IRT so that'* good for me

oh yeah, SPEED would have been a good choice. Although I think more people get History. But with Tanner being on Battle Of The Supercars, SPEED would have been a good fit.

Yeah hopefully they improve it a bit, I wasn't very impressed overall. It was decent, but didn't really have any humor. I also don't like their test track nearly as much, it'* filled with makeshift walls and barriers. I'm glad to see they are giving it a try, but I definitely think more work needs to go into it to make it comparable with the UK version.

My 11 year old son likes Top gear, so I recorded it for him. He started watching and said it'* not as funny. He like the cobra vs viper, that was kind of cool.
Ya, the track needs a bit of work.
I'm not sure about those 3 guys, they all seem to be doing the same thing. The BBC version each was very different, Clarkson was all about HP, Hamond liked muscle cars, May liked the high end luxury cars.

Very true, I think that'* a lot of the reason it'* not as funny and entertaining, all of those guys are very much alike. The 3 UK guys are funny and unique in their own ways, they just crack me up lol.
