OK, the "Enterprise Class" thing got to bugging me, so I did some searching. I found Memory Alpha, the Wikipedia of Star Trek.
What I remember makes sense now, due to the last couple of paragraphs..
Yes. I am that much of a Star Trek nerd.....

The Enterprise class was a designation given to the Mark IV bridge simulator used at Starfleet Training Command at Starfleet Academy in 2285.
The bridge, described as an Enterprise-class bridge, which fashioned after the design of the refit Constitution-class USS Enterprise, was used during Saavik'* attempt to complete the Kobayashi Maru scenario. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
Background
While "Enterprise-class" was a fan fiction designation for the refit design Enterprises seen from Star Trek: The Motion Picture until Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, the latter film contains a possibly contradictory reference. Blueprints that Scotty is seen examining are labeled "Constitution class starship", establishing a name for ships of that design. Since the words "Enterprise class" appear on a sign on a door that is marked "mark IV simulator", its not clear that, if in lieu of referring to an "Enterprise-class starship", this might refer to it being the simulator used by the "Enterprise class of cadets" or that the simulator itself is classified as an "Enterprise class simulator".
Both designations of the starship class names are supported by behind the scenes material and interviews, Andrew Probert in particular mentioning that the design for the refit was originally designated "Enterprise-class", and that name was used behind the scenes, although at some point the producers decided it would be more appropriate for the vessel depicted in the Star Trek VI chart designed by Michael Okuda'* art department to be a Constitution. For further clarification of this topic, please refer to Constitution class.
In non-canon publications, the designation was first used as part of FASA'* Star Trek: The Role Playing Game to differentiate the newer style ship from the older version Constitution.

Okay, I remeber masot of the class stuff from the tech manual, it remained a refitted Constitution class until they blew it up, the "A" was a Constellation class. The never was an "Enterprise" class.
I can't remember what class the B, C, and E were, but I'll be hitting Google now.
And if anybody says jack about that crap-bag "Enterprise" show, I'll scream. It isn't Star Trek. They completely threw out the show bible when they made that one. Trek history clearly states that after the aircraft carrier U.*.*. Enterprise was decomissioned, there was no ship in any service named Enterprise until the NCC 1701.
BTW, if anyone remembers the ST:TNG episode where they keep reliving the hours leading up to a collision with a ship emerging from a spacial rift, the bridge plaque on that ship read "A three hour tour..."
Now, as far as movie ships go, where the hell is the Serenity?!

U.*.*. Enterprise was constitution, class then refitted
U.*.*. Enterprise - A also a Constitution ( and was originally the U.*.*. Yorktown that was in the process of being refitted as Enterprise was, Then was renamed Enterprise A after her refit)
U.*.*. Enterprise B was an Excelsior class
U.*.*. Enterprise C was an Ambasodor class
U.*.*. Enterprise D was Galaxy class
U.*.*. Enterprise E is Sovereign class
BTW, if anyone remembers the ST:TNG episode where they keep reliving the hours leading up to a collision with a ship emerging from a spacial rift, the bridge plaque on that ship read "A three hour tour..."
That was the U.*.*. Bozeman (Soyuz Class) and it was a temporal causality loop it kept coming out of.
No Google or referances needed, did that all from memory

Brian, that future Enterprise from All Good Things Part 2 was awesome! The 3rd warp nacelle and the blow-anything-out-of-the-water destructo cannon....lol
B = Excelsior Class
C = Ambassador Class
D = Galaxy Class
E = Sovereign Class
Damn Star Trek, I love it
