how to create the worst riding car ever...
heh. I thought it was only in my imagination that the sable we aquired was the worst riding and driving vehicle EVER. Turns out both tie rod ends in the front seem to be totally shot/broken and the rear sway bar bolts snapped from rust.. then on top of that the cv joints are totally shot and grinding nearly all the time. The tires are also dry rotted and permanently misshaped from sitting too long. And here I thought the car just had a thing for doing a little jig everytime you hit a bump. estimated cost for Repair: $1,000 or so.

I've seen a sway bar bolt break on the 'yota before. Nothing too major, but it wasn't discovered until a routine brake inspection The car still drove fine otherwise.

What year Sable? If it'* a first-gen, you might as well torch it now, cause those tie rods are only the beginning. The next thing you need to get done is go in to make sure the motor mounts were replaced under that recall from about five years ago. If not, the rear mm can drop the engine onto the steering shaft.

Custom - it may be better to get rid of the car, unless there is a definite need for an additional vehicle. Are you going to do the work yourself?
