I saw a guy on TV using a hair dryer to melt the ice around the door, to get into the drivers side ...nasty freezing rain conditions! I guess that is where anyone which has remote start and auto heat on is, in better shape in those conditions!
My 1973 El Camino (my high school ride) had the opposite problem. When it froze outside, the mechanisms in the doors would freeze and malfunction, resulting in when cornering the doors would swing open.

I hope that no one has recently experienced something like this.

I wonder how you would deal with something like this without remote start?
Tow it to a warm garage? Or leave it until spring?

I'd pour windshield wash fluid on one door in hopes of getting it open and getting the car started. Cool pic, I assume on the shore of a Great Lake?

they have tow dollies that raise the rear and the truck tows the front, i would just have it towed to a warm garage and it will warm enough slower
