'Twas the Night Before Christmas...
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house....
I was in the garage, wrenching, damn I just stepped on a mouse !
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that car parts would soon be in there.
The adult children were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of their repaired cars, danced in their heads.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and lit up the stash....
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But someone dressed in red, delivering a shiny new Impala Reindeer !
Like a new young driver, so lively and quick,
He was doing doughnuts on the grass so .. it must be St. Nick.
His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his breath smelt like a sherry!
But I heard him exclaim, as he walked out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, in the forums ...
and to all a good-night."
