Just get a Sony Digital 8. You can play your old 8mm, and record digital and do direct video transfers to hd

The hubby just bought me this one for Xmas. I wanted a new camcorder as the one i have is like 10 years old. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet :( ....1 more month, 1 more month. Like a kid at Christmas...

WOOHA.. I went to 2 Best Buys and none had the Sony Digital Hi8. They said they don't even carry them. They do offer a service that tranfers them, but it would cost over $200.
