We all know that there are only two things that are sure in life.

Death and Taxes.

Death, while final on earth is only a path to life everlasting.

Have faith and believe in God.

Only the good die young.....sometimes I think it'* a lot less painful than life itself.
Only really hurts the ones left behind. :(

Chad V 1982 – 2006

I knew you only as a fellow Bonneville Club member.

We shared interests in our cars and from your many posts,

but I had the feeling we shared other interests and feelings too.

You chose to serve your country when many others were opposed

or even against what you believed in.

And, despite what I personally may believe about the real reasons

our country sent our best to war, those who served

have always had my support and respect.

The choice to stand between the wolves at the door and the rest of us

who make up this great country is a valiant choice indeed.

To stand at Hell’* gate and take on whatever is thrown at you

provides only the reward of your heart’* knowledge.

On this day, with the knowledge that you have fallen

standing for and defending what you believe in,

I salute you with a heavy heart.

Yet at the same time a heart filled with awe

and the knowledge that your sacrifice will

not have been in vain as long as there is freedom for some

and the hope for freedom for all others.

Rest well, soldier and son of America,

For you have earned the right to do so in peace.

Since I am in shock and cannot think of much to say I would like to say that Tracy sums it up wonderfully! I chatted with Chad in the chatroom a few times recently. I am so sad I could cry.

I personally didn't know Chad but I have talked to him a few times on here and he seemed like a great guy. I will be sending my sympathy card to his Mom tomorrow. Condolences to Chad'* friends and family.

im shocked!!!!! :( well i knew chad he was a wonderful guy and he always arranged all of the west michigan meets and him and i were useally the first ones their so we would sit and talk and he was a cool guy he was even planning to come see my new house when he got back, wow i' just shocked and sad. it bring the war into perspective when a solder u know personally is killed.


i will miss you man, for the time we spent together and the time we were planning to spend with each other. u will not be forgotten.

according to ICasualties.org, he was casualty #3215 of the war. It'* senseless to think that so many have passed on because of this conflict.
