They were probably thinking back to the Ford F-150 towing commercial in which a struggling man is approached by a guy who uses just 1 chain to uproot not only one tree, but every single tree on the land by towing just the first one. Built Ford Tough. Raised Driver Stupid, though.

if the idiot had thought, gee, how about a longer chain, or maybe a whole other method entirely, i wouldn't need to buy a new back window. I said at first glance, oh boy, what an idiot, but he'* lucky it didn't hit the roof. THEN he woulda been doin the oh *****.

As soon as I saw how it was hooked up with the chain i knew the outcome, too bad the driver isn't smarter, well If he were smarter he wouldnt be driving a ford anyway. (sorry have to get my bash on fords in there too!)

This one rates up there with the jerks that tried to pull that Geo or whatever out of the snow.
Another thing....why do people film this kinda thing? To show it off to the family at Christmas? Give every Tom Dick and Harry a video camera and chaos insues.

aside from them being dumb about the chain length, that guy is dumb for gettin anywhere near that chain, if that thing broke he would have been scroooood
