Default Still on the prowl for a new park ave

Ok, on my way home from chicago i spotted a park ave at a used dealership so i of course went & checkd it out and its very clean white 99 park ave ultra with a cream rag top only 112k which shockd me... Thing is im not to sure about the rag top.. I was gonna get it but then thought i would see if any one knew how well the rag tops hold up... Or if there is any type of care that they need to keep em looking nice...

Overall it is a pretty car, not sure I like the ragtop look on the PA'* though, I am not sure how the ragtops hold up, but I am sure a regular hardtop would last longer.

As I understand it, no Park Avenues left the factory with a 'ragtop', and were typically an aftermarket job, and with that, mileage varies.

Even looking at the pictures, it is a nice looking car, but I feel the top doesn't really add anything to the looks.

I would go a few rounds at least though on the price, just make sure you are not overpaying.

Ya if the top is done well /quality materials, that is a pretty expensive addition!!
Looks like a nice PA! Vinyl tops in beige or white are difficult to keep clean though.
If I bought it, I would want to inquire about a UV protected, pro vinyl sealer.

I agree with William that it is a pretty car but the "ragtop" only looks good on cars like a Lincoln Town Car or Crown Vic. I would say keep looking as those tops can be more trouble than they are worth!!!!

Ive picked up an 03 PA Ultra.. Maroon in color n very clean.. Drove 2hrs to check it out.. And after a little price negotiating due to a few problems i spotted.. I drove her home!

Needed:
•intake gaskets
(Currently doing)
•4 idler pulleys (fixed)
•had a fuel leak at the fuel filter
(Fixed)
•Also rear struts
(Fixed)
•Air ride compressor
(Gonna take a trip to the junkyard n hopefully get lucky with a good one or try my luck with ordering a used one)
