I know this is a GM forum, but I replaced a friends window regulator on a Ford F-150 regular cab passenger door and wanted to share the steps in case someone on this forum ever has to do this job:

TOOLS NEEDED NEED
10 MM SOCKET
8 MM SOCKET
6 MM SOCKET
SOMETHING TO HOLD WINDOW UP WHILE REGULATOR IS OUT OF DOOR
Razer blade/ small sharp knife
NEVER LET GLASS FREE FALL INSIDE DOOR
#1- REMOVE FOUR SCREWS, TWO FROM BOTTOM OF DOOR, ONE HIDDEN BEHIND DOOR HANDLE, ONE IN THE SWITCH PANEL (PRY UP ON SWITCH PANEL AND IT WILL POP UP- 10 MM SCREW HIDDEN BEHIND SWITCH PANEL)
#2- PRY OUT DOOR HANDLE AND REMOVE. POP OUT DOOR HANDLE CABLE AND SET FRY HANDLE ON GROUND
#3 Discount switches on door switch panel and place switch door panel on floor
#4- remove speaker grill cover panel- can me removed by hand, no tools required, then remove speaker (four screws) disconnect plug on back of speaker and place speaker on floor, then remove bottom plastics clips that hold speaker in place- removed by using a socket and pushing the back of clip till it pops out
#5 entire door panel should now be removable- remove and set on floor
#6- remove clear plastic cover- use razor blade to separate black adhesive- this black adhesive needs to be reused- do not stretch adhesive, do this all the way around except the bottom, let it stay connected on the bottom, it will take a while
#7- loosen the four bolts (actually five) hold the window regulator- do not remove bolts
#8 disconnect glass from regulator- loosen bolts that will loosen clamp that holds glass to regulator
#9 raise glass to top of door and secure in place
#10 remove regulator- not all the bolts do not have to be removed (disconnect one plug for motor), observe how it was placed in the door
#11 place old regulator and floor and place new regulator on floor, compare to make sure proper fit and move over any required hardware
#12 put replacement regulator in door, screw all five screws securely to door
#13 reconnect window motor switch and do basic test- bring elevators up towards window- door window switch will have to be temporarily connected
#14 lower window onto regulator
#15 before tightening window to regulator, raise window all the way up, this makes sure clamps are in proper placement to fully close window- do a full test on window make sure it goes up and down properly
#16 replace door panel parts
#17 Miller Time

That sounds like you were careful & a bit of work Michael to replace the regulator!
How long did it take to get to Miller time?

Takes about 40 minutes, with all the tools pre-staged. Fairly easy job.

The key to this regulator replacement, and most other is location. Having replaced window regulators in a unheated garage at 10 below zero Fahrenheit, and this one outside at 60 degrees Fahrenheit in a wide open blacktop surface and sunny day; the hardest thing about replacing most regulators is getting plenty of light to see in the door, and having space to move around. The job is so much easier done outside in the sun on a warm and dry day.
