what exactly is "reinforced" Tape ? is it like tape with strands of string in it (am i thinking right?)

Yuppers. Normally used to seal boxes. Sometimes I get bored and make things for my desk. As much tape as I use, it probably would have been cheaper just to buy the stuff for me! Here'* the shelf I made about a week ago:
