We removed the entire headlights from the car to change them. The bulbs are in perfectly centered, but thte headlights are definetly misaligned. What he is asking, is how to fix this?

Are you sure you didn't forget to put any washers or any pieces back in when you put the headlamp assembly back on?

In that case then I would have to say that they were not re-installed back properly. How were they mounted in there?? On my malibu there are little plasict handle/clip thins that just pull up and the light pops out, and i have almost not re-installed them properly myslef.

But if they were screwed in then there is usually alignment screws on them, or they are not sitting properly when you put them back in. It is definetly the light and not the bulb. Were you not able to chage the bulbs without removing the whole light??

I can relate. That'* what happened when I installed my 9004 Silver Stars. I installed the bulb connectors upside down and I had a great view of the trees in the neighborhood. Ya put 'em in the right way and they should be perfect.
When you say that the bulb connectors were upside down; was your fix just turning the whole thing around? or did you remove the bulb and switch it to the opposite position.

94regal will give you some detail in a sec.

If I am working in my garage is there a way to tell if their in right?
My 9004 socket is probably not the same as your 9007 socket. I did NOT remove the bulb when I found that I installed the socket incorrectly. In fact I looked at the right side low beam to see how that was installed and I installed the left side the same way. It turned out that I initially installed the left bulb/socket upside down. You would think they would make these things fool proof for us fools! Was it necessary to remove the entire headlight assembly? Or was it just easier to replace the bulbs this way?

You have to remove them to get to a GTP'* lights... there is a lot of metal in the way of the back of the assembly.

The bulb goes into the socket only one way due to that tab on it, but yes you can install the socket back into the assembly upside down.

And that'* what I did initially. Removing the battery to get to the passenger side bulb was a LOT easier than removing the entire assembly.
