Ya it was around 2000-2001 when they released their new DOHC option in the rangers, explorers. What about a Trailblazer Jim? I haven't heard much anything bad about them, have all the power you could ever want from an inline 6?? Comfy, and closer to the size of an Explorer?? I think?

The new Trailblazer/Envoy was redesigned for 2k2 I believe and a lot of ppl complained about the fuel consumption of the new GM inline 6.
And its to expensive, up to 2001 or so (IIRC) the Envoy looked like the Jimmy/Blazer body style..
Hey we should get pics goin :P

2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer Trail Blazer 4 Door $11,997
86k on it, they're all averaging about 11k to 12500 USD for pricing. Gonna find some Envoy stuff next.

Well Jimbo, and Escape would be pretty economical. But if she'* leaning towards a mid-size one, I'd agree with you on the Envoy/Trailblazer or a Grand Cherokee Ltd.

My fave so far is the rhinocerous looking Acura MDX, but its way spendy. I would lean towards getting an Oldsmobile Bravada if we could....I just have to keep her away from the Buick Rendezvous...eesh...
Bravada
Interior
The Escape/Tribute is nice, but to small for our needs.

Wouldn't go with a Grand Cherokee if you're concerned about fuel economy. Chrysler'* are gas guzzlers to the max. Notorious for trans problems too.

I second whoever above said that the Blazer/Jimmy line has turned out a few too many lemons. I wouldn't say ours ('99 Blazer) is a lemon, but it'* had its issues and I have known others who have had the same type of issues (currently it the horn doesn't work, and the drivers side mirror is being strange-like I said, not major issues, but issues just the same). It hasn't been mentioned, maybe for good reason, but what about a Hyundai Santa Fe? They seem to be pretty popular around where I'm at and are kinda a nice looking SUV (in my opinion). I guess that'* out if you want to stick with the major domestic car companies...but it'* an option.
