Support Our Armed Forces!!!
Here are a variety of websites that send care packages, Frequent flyer miles, and among other things support the families of our fallen comrades.

http://www.usocares.org/home.htm - Show a Service Member You Care
With hundreds of thousands of U.*. troops deployed around the world, actively engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the fight against terrorism, the USO is offering a way to send a reminder to the troops that they are appreciated and have not been forgotten.
Due to heightened security, individuals can no longer send letters and packages marked for delivery to 'Any Service Member'. Endorsed by the Department of Defense, the USO program "Operation USO Care Package", provides individuals with a way to touch the lives of our deployed troops around the world.
The USO is sending care packages that include requested items such as pre-paid worldwide phone cards, sunscreen, travel size toiletries, and messages from Americans who want to thank them for their service. As days turn into weeks and weeks into months, reminders from home are welcomed by the troops.
Corporations may donate items to go into the care packages, many of which may be branded with your corporate logo. These items must be sent in bulk from the manufacturer. Please call (703) 696-0994 for advance coordination of deliveries.
If you are interested in sponsoring a care package and including your personal message please click 'donate now' and select your preferred method of donation. If your company is interested in doing a corporate program, please contact us at questions@usocarepackage.org, or call (571) 261-1465, and we will let you know of the different ways corporations may rally around our troops.

The number ONE request at Walter Reed hospital is phone cards. The
government doesn't pay long distance phone charges and these wounded soldiers are rationing their calls home.
Many will be there throughout the holidays. Really support our troops --Send phone cards of any amount to:
MedicalFamily Assistance Center Walter Reed Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001
They say they need an "endless" supply of these -- any amount even $5 is greatly appreciated. Wal-Mart has good prices on AT&T cards, Sams Club is even better, if you are a member.

Want another way to boost your service members morale? You can buy "Burger Bucks" online at www.burgerking.com or at your local participating Burger King. The bucks come in multiples in five and can be used at any Burger King concession on military bases worldwide, including those in Iraq, Qatar, and Southwest Asia.

I'm a GM2 in the US Navy IRR. I got a letter a couple of months ago stating that there'll be more call ups in January. So I'm waiting on that plus my re-enlistment paperwork.

This fund was created for the purpose of assisting the injured soldiers returning from deployment. There is a great need for modification / adaptations to the homes of these recovering soldiers. This may include wheel chair ramps as well as other minor/ major alterations.
