About the Rays of Hope:
Rays of Hope is a walk-a-thon founded in 1994 with 500 walkers. The walk has grown into the largest single day fundraising event in western Massachusetts, with over 7,000 participants at one location in 2004.
Rays of Hope is a community-based event with over 250 men and women volunteers working to make a difference in the lives of their friends and neighbors. Rays of Hope’* mission is to raise funds to improve the breast health of the people in our communities with quality and compassion in partnership with Baystate Health System’* Comprehensive Breast Center by focusing on:
-offering community education and outreach;
-providing coordinated, accessible, and medically advanced care at the initial stage of diagnosis and continuing through treatment and recovery;
-supporting patients through the continuum of care that acknowledges the needs of the whole person;
-and funding breast cancer research
The walk is in Spingfield MA on October 30th for those who want to join in the walk.
You can chose to do the 2 or 5 mile walk. I will be doing the 5 mile walk for those who want to join me.

Wow! I'm surprised that I was the 1st to donate....only 49 more people at $10 a pop and you'll have your goal, Lil Sis.
I always donate to this and all medical charities...you just never know when someday, you may become the patient. $10 is no big deal for me now...but if it helps find a cure, what an amazing return on investment.
I challenge everyone here to match my donation....heck, if it was during NEBF, I'd walk with you! EDIT: What is pretty cool is that you can donated "in memory of" or "in support of" someone....you can have your name listed or have it annoymous.... it'* a secured website too.
Thanks for your efforts in raising money for a great cause...and yes, guys....MEN can get breast cancer too! I used to play volleyball with a guy...he was 52 when he got breast cancer.
