First know that a windows notebook is usually much less than an equivalent Macbook.
Figure out what apps you use and if they are available in a mac version. Ditto for games you play. If a Mac is still an option then go to a mac store and lay with one and see if the interface is something you can get used to.

If your still interested in a Macbook but want Windows too, you could still dualboot to XP or run an emulator.

Now I want the laptop to have more meory then needed...I want it to be over sized just incase a little later down the road I have more things to do with it I have the memory. So this laptop will extremely overdoing it for what I have now but I want it to be that way just incase later down I need it like I said..

I disagree and just to let you know your opening a can of worms on this .=P Look at how many schools across the nation starting to had out Mac books to their students Why?? hmm... and how many schools that are starting to use strictly macs I know all the schools around here are ALL running OS X. Apple is growing 3 times as fast as the PC world and the whole thing with look at programs that will run on a Mac is not even a issue anymore. You can run every single program on a Mac running windows. (which I dont suggest you do if you by a Mac) because In my opinion OS X destroys windows.

I say get a Mac you will have alot less crashes on a Mac if any, and no fricken glitches like when you minimize a screen in windows and it stays on the screen for a couple of seconds THAT right there has been driving me nuts on 2 brand new top of the line Dells we just recieved at work. Plus there cooler anyways. Try it you wont be disappointed. Trust me I work on 3 PC'* during the day and I own 3 Apple computers including a Macbook all the Apple computers I own are used the same way as the PC'* But the Apple computers always out performs.

What model do you recommend? Mac book or Mac book Pro?

I was looking at a Mac book with 4gb 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM -2x2GB memory, 250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400rpm Hard drive, 2.4gHz Intel Core 2 Duo
All for $1599

I'm lovin' my MacBook Pro, but for whatever reason when I partitioned the Hard Drive to run Windows I set the Mac OS with the least space...Cause now that I got familiar with the Mac side, I liked it more.
