Default sneaky sneaky police

as i was driving last night on the highway i saw a cop pulling off the road to set himself up for a speed trap, but what he did was he pulled down into this gully between the roads, he was low enough so that nobody'* headlights hit his reflectors, lights off and he disappeared. i picked a good night to stop speeding, saw 3 cops hiding on a highway where i have never seen one before, and someone blew by me going about 90 and a cop pulle dout of nowhere and pulled him over, i laughed.

That is sneaky. Whenever I'm driving on a somewhat empty freeway at night, I always make sure there is someone going slightly faster than me.

I actually witnessed a similar scenario as you. I was going 80, and a guy in front of me was going prolly 85 or so. A state cop came out of nowhere, flew right by me and pulled over the other car.

Here in OR, they hide behind the columns in the center divide, under an overpass.

After getting pulled over a few time I really took a hard look at the methods Police departmets used to catch speeders. I spoke with a few officres I know, I tracked multiple statistics such as time of day, locations, types of vehicles, types of drivers, driving characteristics, I also studied various traffic laws in a few states and I started to see a pattern and certain characteristics of speeding violations became evident. Using what I learned I applied it to when I was driving and for over 5 years now I have not received a speeding ticket.

I am willing to share what I know with everyone here but please don't spread it on other message boards because if everyone starts using this method the Police departments are going to change their methods.

Below is what I learned to avoid speeding tickets, I can not guarantee results but it'* worked for me:

Don't go over the posted speed limit. Remember, keep it to yourselves.

Hahahahaha.. Good one.

Actually there are stats, but there'* also the exceptions. The exceptions are the cops that have been able to catch me in past years when excessive speeding was part of my daily driving.

I learned many things over the years. And pretty much the near sure fire way is to drive within or barely over the speed limits. And the truth is an amazing thing.

Also..on those sneaky police... those are about the only ones that were actually able to catch me. The lazy ones always lost out.

The importaint thing is to get a good radar detector and know where the cops like to hang out in your local area. For example I avoid the the state parkways on long island and use the highway instead. The parkway is full of trees which the state troopers love to hid in. The highway on the other hand has no where for the cops to hide so you can spot them from quite the distance. And also if you have any spots "known for street racing" keep your distance. I got pulled over by a cop waiting to catch racers even though I wasnt even racing :(

I did that once, too. Only the when the officer passed me, he was shaking his finger at me.

And I happened to notice he was hiding behind a huge bush right after the overpass.
