Did you pick up on the special GXP 4T65E transmission. That may be a good swap candidate for us.

Remember the GP is a LS4 and it is N/A
and is lighter then the Bonneville.

I'm not sure will look into this, this afternoon but I think that is GM'* way of rebadging the 4T65E HD

you might be better off with the 4T80

nope, if you read up on it, the starter is built into the tranny case, everything is different in it almost

So yes it is different and potentially better than the unit we have installed stock in ours.......and more straightforward to swap than a 4T80.
