She will be working as a waitress at the Powder King Ski Resort.

She thinks it'* close to Prince George.......well it is kinda.
I told her it doesn't get too cold there.

I give her 2 weeks. Either gets fired, or decides she hates polar bear country.

Last time I was up there they didn't even have a taxi.


But on a lighter note, an acquaintance moved up there a few weeks ago and his car lasted 3 hours. Someone winterized it for our area not that area. It froze up solid.

Paul, I have to tell you, you must not take this lightly. Coming up here is not an easy place to live. She will be isolated, and she will be in some rough country. The nearest "city" is over 2 hours away, the nearest hospital is over 2 hours away. Mackenzie has everything, including 6 feet of snow, the roads are dangerous, and it gets very very cold, it also has it share of problems, drugs, drinking, and all the other things that go along with living in a small town. Powder King is about 45 minutes away from us, and we are 2 hours away from Prince George and it has NOTHING!! It is just a ski hill, there is no shopping, just bars, and the ski hill.

Paul, if you must, please give her our #, but I am stressing this, use it ONLY for an emergency. Paul, there are NO busses here, the only bus that passes by is the Greyhound. Yes, she will have to dress properly, or she will freeze, and I am being serious, it can be deadly if she does not take my words to heart.
I do wish her luck, but show her where she is going. Oh and I should mention that a lot of the men are leaving to find jobs else where, and Mackenzie will become a woman and children town, and so the night life which is already non exsistant will be come well nothing at all. She can not come here looking for a good time, because it will not happen.

And now the voice of reason
She will do great as a waitress at the hill, its warm inside.
There are lots of rich single oil workers who will tip a pretty girl big time.
A ski employee is like familly and they look after their own, transportation will not be a big deal.
The Olympic team trains there from time to time (ski jumping and tricks) and the snow is secound to none, great vertical and virgin powder everyday

It'* closer to the truth of what she and we expect.

Too late though for your advice to get to her because she has left already and should be there anytime now.

She is as tough as your girl Nichole, believe it or not. They called her the "one hit wonder" in High School .....she was suspended three days for that one.

She survived being enlisted in the Army and spending 6 grueling weeks in Boot Camp........and even that didn't break her.

I will only give her your number if she calls in desperation but I think it shouldn't be necessary unless she needs to get to the hospital for the morning after pill.

If it doesn't work out there, I can always send her down to work at Arby'*. There'* a fine one on 9th and Oak in Corvallis Oregon.

They have almost 300cm in the alpine which is about 10feet for you impearlist'*.
She'* gonna have a blast and prollly wind up in Whistler next season, most do
