Default Jim'* 1st BC Anniversary

Well, its the eve of my first anniversary on BonnevilleClub and yes...a website has been a major impact on my life. I wanted to take some time to remember some of the milestone events regarding my life with respect to BonnevilleClub.

Back on Dec 17 2002, I was a pompous, ignorant 89 Bonneville SE owner that...well, didn't have clue.....and in true fashion...nothing has changed.

My first post....I called a Magnaflow exhaust a HyrdoFlow...well done Jimbo
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ghlight=#16734
My fellow moderator Tim was the first to reply...thanks buddy

Then in early February, tradgedy stuck our office, and my good friends, when my friend Jim Bolk died in a single car collision

Amazing...the link still works

By this point I was getting very comfortable with BonnevilleClub, becoming more of a voice on the forums, meeting new people. I had even considered a BonnevilleClub meet after I witnessed the success of that Spring MN meet. So as spring turned to summer and I worked on reparing the Bonneville whenever she broke....I decided Ontario Bonneville Club Meet

In June 2003, Smellbird made the trip from Mankato MN to Mississauga Ontario...what a blast. I had gotten to know Tamara and Drifter over the last few months and I was excited to include them in the meet. Also Peter Patrician (bonnie94sse) decided to come over from Syracuse NY. RussianPolarBear was supposed to come...but couldn't...guys remember waiting for him to show up...lol

Lot of great memories of that meet

Seth, Murdock and I...lol GOOD TIMES BOYZ

I was named Moderator of the BonnevilleClub this past summer a position that I cherish and fulfill to the best of my ability....

As the summer progressed word on BonnevilleFest 2004 came around and got us all stoked. I had made many new friends on BC, the Lounge became somewhat of a playground ...most of you can recall some great threads

I took a trip with Tamara and Murdock 7 hrs north to Tams cottage for a weekend away with friends...unbelievable good times...can't thank them enough...wow..what a blast that weekend was

As I planned on a new car, I started a neat comparision thread on BC, regarding my 96 Olds Aurora. This 15 page monster generated some interesting chats

As this rolled around, I organized with the help of Drifter the August 28th Meet. We had excellent representation and I met some of our members from both the US and Ontario. To many memories...Peter, Al and I at Fez. Saturday sound off at Square One, Mike Chezzi getting his *** kicked on the go-karts, batting cages with Todd and Peter. Hailey and Rob making the harrowing journey from NH to Toronto...she called me from the Gardiner expressway..."Jimmmm....w're LOST"...hahaha poor Hails...lmao. Then my speech at dinner, Paul showing up in RLD and my Aurora making the scene. Then coffee at Timmy Hortons, with a band of Bonnies. Who could forget Todd wrapped up in his son'* blankie...awwww :P and hitting INSANE speeds on the hwy with RLD in the lead and my Aurora taking up the back....to much fun

The next week I was asked by Jason Smith (Merlin 91/97) to test out a MINT 97 SSEi, he flew in and picked up his car...we had a blast that weekend too...downtown on College Street...dood...the bagels...lmao...

Then....tradgedy hits home...again...

To many thanks to BonnevilleClub for their love, kindness and support during that terrible time...those flowers you guys sent...meant sooo much....esp during such a sad time

Following that, I needed to get out of town
Hailey invited me to her small sleepy town in NH. I made a pit stop in Syracuse to meet up with my good friend Peter and Flyguy...that was a blast boys...Aurora on the hwy Peter...lol funs fun

My trip to NH was wonderful, met some great ppl and I got to really relax. It was also a great way to come to terms and be alone on the journey...this pic sums it up so well

As fall turned to winter I suffer a crash...the white curse? who knows...

As we prepare for the holiday and prep for the New Year its always neat to look back on the past 365 days and how they changed your life. Frankly BonnevilleClub has changed my life....

Happy Holidays everyone..I hope you enjoyed sharing my memories of my first year on BC...welcome home!

Can't wait til next year

I honestly can't imagine this site without him. I dunno if i'd be around like I am if he wasn't here.

Me neither. And I wouldn't be an honorary Canadian if it wasn't for Jim.
